The Epyc Embedded 3000 and the Ryzen Embedded V1000, were both made to lower-power counterparts for the Epyc and Ryzen lines, respectively. These two new processors have the same structure and architecture as their larger kin, but their designed to better fit constrained platforms, those that need to keep a lid on space, cost, heat or power, as is usually the case in an embedded computer, or with industrial workstations.

The Epyc Embedded 3000 line has 4- or 16-core options available, as well as single-threaded iterations. In terms of thermal design profiles (TDPs) the range can go from 30W up to 100W, and the entire line has 64 PCI Express lanes, compared to the 128 of its larger, traditional kin. For the Ryzen Embedded V1000 range, meanwhile, are APUs (Accelerate processing units) that use a combination of Zen and Vega processors, capable of working with 4 cores and 8 threads, with a TDP range starting at 12W and going up 54W.
